25JULY2015 -- I went to Los Angeles via Amrack Train to be with my family. Being in the military, I only get few chances to see them. And so I thought, since they're in California also, might as well go down there and spend some time with them.
Their main business for going down to LA from Washington is to attend Rizal Association USA 2015 in which my mother was to be crowned Mrs. Rizalinian 2015.
Here are the sisters. My mother is the one in black. Aunt Daisy is in blue. And Aunt Merlyn is the lady in red. Aren't they all so pretty?
My Aunt Merlyn so gorgeous in her red gown. She looked like a celebrity that night. He gown matched her fair skin and blonde hair.
And here are the sweethearts. My Uncle Orlando and Aunt Merlyn. They are an ideal couple. Always together like best of friends. At the same time, a confidante to one another.
Now, for the main reason of me going down to LA. My mother was crowned Mrs. Rizalinian 2015. This will happen to her life only once. So I can't miss it. I wanted to be there to witness the special moment of her life. Also, to capture .. well basically, be the photographer.
And the night ended with her giving a special number. She rendered two songs. Unfortunately, I forgot the titles. Anyway, she has always been a singer, like joining singing competitions and being part of the choir in the church. She grew up in the church, because she stayed with her grandparents who were church workers in the Philippines. All is well in the hands of the Lord, as she made sure that I would grow up in the church as well. I happened to have the feeling of not feeling it as a responsibility. But more of having fun meeting up with my churchmates, doing my ministry which is singing as Jesus endowed me with that talent, and serving Him in any way I could.
Yeah, we stayed in Holiday Inn at Beuna Park. It was okay. Kind of pricey for me though. However, it's kind of practical since the event happened at the hotel also.
And then...
YEHEY ! DISNEYLA-LA-LAND !
Unfortunately, I had to go home early because the boyfriend picked me up from San Diego. I only visited the Small World, Fantasy something, and the train ride.
Disneyland is mainly for kids and young at hearts. Am I not young anymore? Well, I guess we just supposed to have gone there early because the lines were all soooooo loooooong! There is no way that we would be in line for 30 minutes to 1 hour just for a ride. Especially since the people I'm with are adults. Well, there's always next time. Disneyland will always be there.
